There has never been a greater time and need for prayer than there is right now. Threats of terrorism and homeland disasters are growing stronger by the day. What is the response of the Church? Does she hear the voice of her bridegroom saying pursue my presence or is she pursuing the American Dream at such a frantic pace that she can see no other goal worth abandoning herself for. What is the Church pursuing? What is it going after? What are their Goals? Is it Jesus? Is it his Presence? Is it his Love? Is it the Fruits of the Spirit? Is it Holiness? Is it Righteousness? Is it Him? Or is it what he can give you.
What he can buy you? Where are the desperate for his presence people of God that are crying out for the presence of God? Is your prayer on or is your TV on? Is the presence of Jesus welcome in your home or are you too busy?
Ask the Lord to increase your hunger for him. Ask him to decrease your love on this world. He will do it, if you just ask him.
